Hello I can help you. :)

Alright, so we know that the the time period of a freely suspended magnet depends on it's length and not on it's mass.
So, if we break half of the magnet, the time period of the remaining part will decrease.
Now look at the following statements:

The time period of the magnet = T
Therefore, time period of the magnet if it's one half is broken = T ÷ 2

Answer - Therefore, the time period of the other freely suspended half will be T ÷ 2

Thanks.

Hope it helps you.

arusingh: Sorry but your answer is wrong. I just checked. The answer is T.
8BIT: Oh sorry then.
8BIT: But if it's length is different, the how will the time period be same.
arusingh: Becoz of moment of inertia. Time period also depends on moment of inertia. Which is equal to mass × square of length. I just checked the answer.
arusingh: Dont be sorry. Thanx for trying.
8BIT: Welcome and thank you to you too. :)
8BIT: I am in 7th grade and I have learnt it this way only
