Given :

Length of pendulum , L = 80 cm = 0.8 m .

To Find :

The time period of a simple pendulum .

Solution :

The time period of a simple pendulum of length L is given by :

T=2\pi\sqrt{ \dfrac{L}{g}}

Here ,  g is acceleration due to gravity i.e , g=10\ m/s^2 .

So ,

T=2\pi\sqrt{ \dfrac{0.8}{10}}\ s\\\\T=1.78\ s

Hence , this is the required solution .
