The time period of the simple pendulum is 0.4 seconds and the frequency of
oscillation is 2.5Hz. If the frequency increases to 5.0 Hz then find out the time period
of the simple pendulum ?
(a) 0.4 Hz
(b) 2.5 s
(c) 0.2 s

Actually Welcome to the Concept of the Oscillations.

Since, we know that :-

Frequency = 1/ Time period

so now we can easily say that,

if f = 2.5 Hz , then T = 1/2.5 = 0.4 s and vice versa.

Similarly,if the frequency increases to, f = 5.0 Hz,

Then the time period = 1/5.0 = 0.2 seconds.

==> The new time period is 0.2 s.
