solution : according to Graham's law of effusion of gas

rate of effusion of a gas is inversely proportional to square root of its molecular weight. i.e., r ∝ 1/√M

for oxygen gas,

r ∝ 1/√(32)

⇒32/t = k/√(32) , where k is proportionality constant.

⇒kt = 32√(32) ≈ 181 ......(1)

let's check options,

(A) 64/t = k/√(2) ⇒kt = 64√2 = 90.5

(B) 50/t = k/√(28) ⇒kt = 50√28 = 264.57

(C) 27.3/t = k/√(44) ⇒kt = 27.3√(44) = 182

(D) 22.6/t = k/√(64) ⇒kt = 22.62√64 = 181
