The well known writer Premchand said, "The tongue does not get chopped on speaking but the hands do get chopped on writing."
He said this to show that writing is relatively more complex and demanding than speech. According to him,while speaking it is possible to correct ourselves on the spot and avoid a misunderstanding. But this is cannot be done with the written language.
