Area of the octagon =
Area of trapezium + Area of rectangle +Area of trapezium
According to the question,
Area of trapezium =1/2(a+b)×h
Given,a=5cm
b=13cm
h=3cm
Now, area = 1/2(17)×3=25.5cm^2
There are two trapezium so, 25.5×2 = 51cm^2
Now area of rectangle =l×b =65cm^2
Total area =(51+65)cm^2
116cm^2
