Here, AC is the wire. AB and CD are the poles.

Also,

CE = CD - AB

=> CE = 18m - 10m

=> CE = 8m

Now, from right ∆CEA,

$\frac{CE}{AC} = sin30°$

$= > \frac{8}{AC} = \frac{1}{2}$

$= > AC = 2 \times 8$

$Therefore, AC = 16m$
