and cost of table be 3x+40
then
3x+40+2x=8745
5x=8745-40
5x=8705
=8705/5=1741
cost of chair=1741*2=3482
1741+40*3=1781*3=5343

Then,the cost of 2nd chair=Rs.x+40
So,Cost of first 2 chairs=Rs.2x
And,Cost of 2nd 3 chairs=Rs.3 (x+40)=Rs.3x+120

Total cost=Rs.8745
Therefore,2x+3x+120=Rs.8745
5x=Rs.8745-120
x=Rs.8625/5
x=Rs.1725
Hence,Cost of first chair=Rs.2×1725=Rs.3450
