Answer:

let the cost of chair be X.

therefore cost of table = X+75

according to question

3(x +75) + 2(x) = 1850

3x + 225 + 2x = 1850

5x + 225 = 1850

5x = 1850 - 225

5x = 1625

x = 1625/5

x = 325

Therefore cost of chair = 325

cost of table = 325 + 75 = 400

Let the cost of 1 table is x

Cost of 3 tables be 3x

Let the cost of 1 chair is y

Cost of 2 chairs is 2y

According to the Question total cost of three tables and 2 chairs is 1859

Therefore 3x + 2y = 1850 (I)

&

x=75+y (II)

(Since in question it is given that cost of table is 75 more than chair )

Solving equation (I) & (II) simultaneously

3x+2y= 1850 (I)

x-y=75(II)

Multiplying equation (II) by 2 ,

We get 2x - 2y = 150 (III)

Adding (I) and (III)

We get 5x = 2000

x=400 Therefore cost of 1 table is 400

Substituting the value of x in (II) we get 400-y = 75

Therefore y = 400-75 = 325

Therefore cost of 1 chair is 325
