the total cost of 3 tables and 2 chairs is rupees 1850 . if one table costs rupees 75 more than one chair, find the cost of each table and chair

Let the value of chair be x and that of table be y so,

3y+2x=1850

And y=x+75

Putting value of y in the first equation,

3(x+75)+2x=1850

3x+225+2x=1850

5x+225=1850

5x=1625

X=325

So each chair costs 325 and each table is worth 400 rupees
