Answer:

let tables be x and chairs be y

3x + 2y =1850 ----------------1

now it is given

x = y + 75 ----------2

now putting eq 2 in eq 1

3(y+75) + 2y = 1850

3y +225 +2y = 1850

5y = 1850 - 225

5y = 1625

y = 1625/5

y = 325

x = y+ 75

x= 325+75

x =400

Answer.

Let the cost of table and chair be ₹x and ₹y respectively.

According to question,

3x + 2y = 1850 …(1)

And, x = y + 75 ⇒ x – y = 75 …(2)

Multiplying equation (2) by 2, we get,

2x – 2y = 150 …(3)

Adding (1) and (3), we get,

5x = 2000

⇒ x = 400

Putting x = 400 in equation (2),

400 – y = 75

⇒ y = 400 – 75

⇒ y = 325

∴ The price of table is ₹400 and that of chair is ₹325.
