                    ◦ ❖ SOLUTION ❖ ◦

Let us assume that the cost of one chair is 'x'

So, from the question since table costs rupees 500 more than the chair

Price of one Table = x+500

Now , From the question - the total cost of 3 tables and 5 chairs is rupees 6300

\implies 3(x+500) + 5x = 6300

\implies 3x + 1500 + 5x = 6300

\implies 8x + 1500 = 6300

\implies 8x = 6300 -1500

x = \dfrac{6300-1500}{8} = \dfrac{4800}{8} = 600

Price of one chair (x) = ₹ 600

Price of one Table = x+500 = 600 + 500 = ₹1100

Now, we have to find the cost of 3 tables and the cost of 5 chairs

∵ Price of one chair = ₹ 600

\red\bigstar Price of 5 such chairs = 5 × 600 = ₹ 3000

∵ Price of one Table =  ₹ 1100

\red\bigstar Price of 3 such tables = 3 × 1100 =  ₹ 3300

Correct Question

☛ The total cost of 3 tables and 5 chairs is rupee 6300.If the table costs rupee 500 more than the chair,find the cost of 3 tables and the cost of 5 chairs.

GiveN:-

☛ Total cost of 3 tables and 5 chairs is rupee 6300.The cost of table is rupee 500 more than that of the chair.

To FinD:-

☛ The cost of 3 tables and the cost of 5 chairs.

UnknowN:-

☛ Let the cost of one chair be c.

The cost of one table would be c + 500.

EquatioN:-

Since the total cost of 3 tables and 5 chairs is rupee 6300.

3( c + 500) + 5c = 6300

SolutioN:-

 \sf{3c + 1500 + 50 = 6300} \\  \sf{8c + 1500 = 6300} \\  \sf{8c + 1500 - 1500 = 6300 - 1500} \\  \sf{8c = 4800} \\ \sf{{ { \cancel \frac{8c}{8}}}} =  \frac{4800}{8}   \\  \sf{c = 600}

The cost of a chair is rupee 600 and the cost of a table is rupee 600 + rupee 500 = rupee 1100
