5T+2C=990.....eq(1),
T-C=30,
then
2T-2C=60........eq(2),
7T=(990+60),
7T=1050,
T=150,
then
C=150-30=120
T-C=30,
then
2T-2C=60........eq(2),
7T=(990+60),
7T=1050,
T=150,
then
C=150-30=120

HERE'S THE ANSWER..

♠️ We'll be forming equations step by step and them we'll solve .
♠️ Let the cost of one table be ( x ) and the cost of one chair be ( y ).
▶️ The total cost of 5 tables and 2 chairs is rupees 990 , i.e
=> 5 x + 2 y = ₹ 990 _________( 1 )
▶️If table cost rupees 30 more than a chair , i.e
=> x = y + 30 ___________( 2 )
✔️ Now putting value of x from ( 2 ) in eqn ( 1 )
=> 5 x + 2 y = 990
=> 5 ( y + 30 ) + 2 y = 990
=> 5 y + 150 + 2 y= 990
=> 7 y = 990 - 150
=> 7 y = 840
=> [ y = ₹ 120 ] ✔️✔️
⏺️ Now putting value of y in eqn ( 2 )
=> x = y + 30
=> x = 120 + 30
=> [ x = ₹ 150 ]✔️✔️
♠️ So, the cost of a table is ₹ 150 and chair is ₹ 120
