Given, Breadth (b) = 26 m

Area = l × b

1222 = l × 26

$l \: = \frac{1222}{26} \: m \\ \\ l = 47 \: m$

Perimeter = 2 (l+b)

= 2 (26+47)

= 2 (73)

= 146 m

Cost of fencing of 1 m= Rs 20

Total cost of fencing the field =

Perimeter × cost per m

= 20 × 146

= Rs 2920
