Given :-

  • Cost of flooring per m² = Rs 85
  • Total cost of flooring = Rs 5100
  • Length of the room = 10 m

To Find :-

  • The perimeter of the room.

Solution :-

We know that,

\bullet\:\:\:\underline{\boxed{\bf{Perimeter = 2(l+b) }}}

Area of the room,

:\implies\:\sf{\dfrac{Total \:cost \:of\:flooring}{Cost \:flooring\:per\:m^2} }

:\implies\:\sf{\dfrac{5100}{85\:m^2} }

:\implies\:\sf{60\:m^2}

Now,

:\implies\:\sf{l\times b = 60}

:\implies\:\sf{10\times b = 60}

:\implies\:\sf{ b = \dfrac{60}{10} }

\sf:\implies \underline{\boxed{\pink{\mathfrak{b = 6}}}}\:\:\bigstar

∴ Breadth = 6 m

Now,

Perimeter of the room,

:\implies\:\sf{2(l+b)}

:\implies\:\sf{2(10+6)}

:\implies\:\sf{2\times 16}

\sf:\implies \underline{\boxed{\pink{\mathfrak{32\:m^2}}}}\:\:\bigstar

∴ Perimeter of the room = 32 m²
