Step-by-step explanation:

The total cost price of two watches is = 3360

Let the CP of watch 1 be x

So, CP of watch 2 = 3360-x

Watch 1 case

CP = x

Profit% = 16%

Profit=16/100(x)

Watch 2 case:

CP =  3360-x

Loss% = 12%

Loss= 12/100(3360-x)

Since There is no loss or gain in the whole transaction

So, Profit=loss

16/100=12/100(3360-x)

X=1440

Step-by-step explanation:

C. P. of 1 watch =3360/2

=₹1680

Case 1

Loss =12%

S. P. = 1680 X (100-12/100)

=₹1478.4

Case II

Gain= 16%

S. P. = 1680 X (100+16/100)

=₹1948.5
