The total CP of the article A & B is 3500. The article B is sold at 10% profit and the article A is sold with a profit of Rs. 500 . The total profit percent is 50/3 % with respect to Selling price. Find the profit percent of article A?

Answer:

CP:MP = 2x:3x

⇒ profit = MP- CP = 3x-2x=x

Profit % : discount % = 3:2

Let CP= 200, SP = 300

But

×300=6x+6x=12x

⇒12x=100

⇒x=8.33%

∴ Discount = 2x= 16.66%
