Answer:

true

Explanation:

mechanical energy is the total of Kienetic energy and potiental energy.

mathematically

(Kienetic + potiental = mechanical)

now the energy is always constant and conserved

it is a universal fundamental law of conservation of energy.

the energy before the action and after the action is same.

for example :- if a cycle is at rest the total energy

(force) acting on it is zero hence it shows no motion.

but when we apply energy (force) on it . then it shows some displacement or movement (motion)

but after the motion shown the cycle again attains its real state which is at rest due to friction or transfer of energy to the ground in this case energy applied by us before and after the motion or action is conserved (zero)

mechanical energy in any system is the total energy

It is true for all conservative forces.

Answer:

Explanation:

The total amount of mechanical energy is merely the sum of the potential energy and the kinetic energy. This sum is simply referred to as the total mechanical energy (abbreviated TME).
