total surface area is in sq units
volume is in cubic units

Nayan1256: the question say that what is the difference between the two numbers
Nayan1256: don't take there unit

Number of edges in a cube = 12,
If we take the length of each edge = (x) cm,
Therefore 12x = 96
                 x = 8 cm

Total surface area(TSA) of a cube = 6(edge)2
                                                       = 6*64
                                                       = 384 cm2
Volume of a cube = (edge)3
                             = 512 cm3

Therefore difference between the numbers denoting the Volume and the TSA = 512-384
                                                                                                                             = 128
