The total mass of Faizal, John and Raju is 154.2 kg. John is 10.48 kg heavier than Raju and 9.23 kg heavier than Faizal. Find Raju's mass.

j= r + 10.48

j= f + 9.23

add all 3 equation

3j = 174.11

j = 58.036

r = 58.036-10.48 =47.55 kg

Let,

  • the mass of Faizal be F.
  • the mass of John be J.
  • the mass of Raju be R.

According to the question

⇛ F + J + R = 154.2

⇛ J = 10.48 + R

⇛ J = 9.23 + F

⇛ F = 10.48 - 9.23 + R

⇛ F = 1.25 + R

⇛ 1.25 + R + J + R = 154.2

⇛ 2R + J = 152.95

⇛ 2R + 10.48 + R = 152.95

⇛ 3R = 152.95 - 10.48

⇛ 3R = 142.47

R = 47.49 kg

Hence,

  • the mass of Raju is 47.49 kg.
