Here , Given Mass = 16 ( Sixteen ) grams

Molecular Mass = 32 + ( 16 × 2 ) = 64 grams

Now , Number of moles / –

  • = Given Mass / Molecular Mass

  • = 16 Grams / 64 Grams

  • = 0.25 Moles

Now , we know that one mole of SO² Contains 2 Moles ( two ) of atoms of oxygen .

Now , Number of moles of oxygen in 0.25 Moles of SO² / –

  • = 2 × 0.25

  • = 0.5 Moles

Hence , 16 Grams of SO² Contains 0.5 Mole(s) of Oxygen .
