The total number of π-bond electrons in the following structure is 4 pie bonds are present.

Explanation:

  • Pie bonds are exhibited by the compound have saturation. Unsaturated compounds always have no pie electron. Now saturated compound can either be double bonded or be triple bonded.
  • Double bonded compound have one piece bond and two or a pair of pie electron. Similarly triple bond have two pie bond and four pie electron.
  • So the given structure has four double bonds. Therefore the number of pie bond is equal to four and the number of pie electron is eight.
