 Let \: number \: cars \:in \:a \:show\:room = x

 and \: number \: bikes \:in \:the \:show\:room = y

 \blue { Total \: vehicles = 40 }

 \implies x + y = 40

 \implies y = 40 - x \: ---(1)

 We \:know \:that , \\Number \: of \: tyres \:each \\ car \:contains = 4

Number \: of\: tyres \: each \\ bike\:contains = 2

 \pink{ Total \:tyres = 100 }

 \implies 4x + 2y = 100

 \implies 4x + 2(40-x) = 100 \: [ From \:(1) ]

 \implies 4x + 80 - 2x = 100

 \implies 2x  = 100 - 80

 \implies 2x  = 20

 \implies x  = \frac{20}{2}

 \implies x  = 10

Therefore.,

 \red{ Number \: cars \:in \:the \:show\:room}\green {= 10 }
