$We \:know \:that , \\Number \: of \: tyres \:each \\ car \:contains = 4$

$Number \: of\: tyres \: each \\ bike\:contains = 2$

$\pink{ Total \:tyres = 100 }$

$\implies 4x + 2y = 100$

$\implies 4x + 2(40-x) = 100 \: [ From \:(1) ]$

$\implies 4x + 80 - 2x = 100$

$\implies 2x = 100 - 80$

$\implies 2x = 20$

$\implies x = \frac{20}{2}$

$\implies x = 10$

Therefore.,
