Step-by-step explanation:

total no of lions and peacock =50

let the no of lions be x

let the no of peacock be y

So , x + y = 50 ......(1)

the total no of their legs is 140 .

lion has 4 lega and peacock has 2 legs .

So , 4x + 2y = 140

2x + y = 70 .......(2)

subtracting (2) from(1)

we have

x= 20

y= 30

no of legs of lion is 20

no of legs of peacock is 30 .
