Explanation:

2Pb(NO3)2——∆—-→2PbO+4NO2+O2

On heating Lead Nitrate, two gases Nitrogen dioxide and Oxygen are produced. NO2 gas is a red-brown gas and oxygen is a colourless gas.

So on heating Lead Nitrate decomposes to give 1 mole of colourless Oxygen gas.

But you keep in mind that NO2 dimerises as N2O4, at a lower temperature. So at a lower temperature 2 moles of NO2 will dimerises to give N2O4.

2NO2————->N2O4.

In this case Lead Nitrate will evolve 3 moles on decomposition. You may notice this while heating Lead Nitrate red brown colouration will appear only on strongly heating the salt.

Initially there will be very light red-brown colouration, which deepens on strong heating.
