Suppose Total Number of students in the class = S

Then according to the given condition;

Total Number of boys in the class = 2S/5 = 24 .. and

Total Number of girls in the class = 3S/5

=> S = 24 + 3S/5

=> S - 3S/5 = 24 + 3S/5 - 3S/5

=> (5S - 3S)/5 = 24

=> 2S/5 = 24

=> (2S/5)5 = 24 (5)

=> 2S = 120
