The total population of a town in 2010 was 9,350. Out of this, 3,500 were men, 3,600 were women and 2,250 were
children. The population of the town increased by 8% in 2011. If the population of men went up by 14% and that of

Step-by-step explanation:

Increase in population is 8% of 9350

that is 748

Increase in men's population is 14% of 3500

that is 490

Increase in women's population is 4% of 3600

that is 144

Increase in population excluding children is 490+144=634

Increase in population of children = total population increased- increase in population of men and women

that is 748-634=114

plz like if you got your answer

thanks

Answer:

In 2011 the population of the children is 114 that means 3.2%.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

The total population of a town in 2010 was 9350

in this case men's = 3500

women = 3600

and children = 2250

The population of the town Increased by 8% in 2011

That is 8% of9350 =\frac{8}{100} × 9350 =748

Increase in men's population is 14% of 3500

                                                  = \frac{14}{100} × 3500

                                                  =490

Increase in women's population is 4% of 3600

                                                      =\frac{4}{100} × 3600

                                                     =634

Increase in population that is men's population + women's population

⇒490 + 144 = 634

Increase in population of children = Total population - Increase in population of men and women

⇒ 748 - 634 = 114.
