AnswEr:-

Difference b/w their salary = Rs.5,280

\rule{200}{1}

Explanation:-

Given:-

• Total salary of Gaurav & Azam is Rs.47520

• If salary of Gaurav increased by 23% and of Azam increased by 30% ,total salary = Rs.59928

To find:-

Difference between their salary = ?

Solution:-

Let the salary of Gaurav be Rs.M & salary of Azam be Rs.N

Case 1:-

⇒ M + N = 47520

⇒ M = 47520 - N _____(Eq.1)

Case 2:-

⇒(M + 23% of M) + (N + 30% of N) =59928

⇒ (M + 23M/100) + (N + 30N/100) = 59928

⇒ (123M)/100 + (130N)/100 = 59928

⇒ (123M + 130N)/100 = 59928

⇒ 123M + 130N = 5992800

⇒ 123(47520 - N) + 130N = 5992800

[∵ From (Eq.1) : M = 47520 - N ]

⇒ 5844960 - 123N + 130N = 5992800

⇒ 7N = 5992800 - 5844960

⇒ 7N = 147840

⇒ N = 147840/7

N = 21,120

So, salary of Azam = Rs.21,120 .

Put this value in (Eq.1)

⇒ M = 47520 - 21120

M = 26,400

So, salary of Gaurav = Rs.26,400 .

Difference b/w their salary:-

⇒ Difference = 26,400 - 21,120

Difference = Rs.5,280

Therefore,

\therefore\underline{\textsf{Difference b/w their salary = {\textbf{Rs.5,280 }}}}

 \tt{\red{Given\: - }}

  • Total salary of Gaurav & Azam = Rs.47520

We have to find the difference between their salary .

 \tt{\orange{-------}}

 \tt{\orange {Step-By-Step-Explaination \: : }}

 \tt{\blue{Suppose \: : }}

Salary of Gaurav be Rs.X

Salary of Azam be Rs.Y

So,

X + Y = 47520...........{ 1 }

123% of X + 130% of Y = 59928

Solving and Substituting values from { 1} we get :

5844960 - 123Y + 130Y = 5992800

Hence, X is equal to 21,120.

Similarly we find Y.

So, the salary of Azam is Rs.21,120 and the salary of Gaurav is Rs. 26400

 \tt{\red{Hence \:the\: difference \:between\: their \:salaries \:is\:  Rs.\: 5,280. }}

Hope this helps...
