Answer:

Radius of base of cone = 66.66cm

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the information provided in the question it is given as

Total surface area of cone = 628 cm squared

Slant height = radius of surface area

We need to find the radius of  the base of the cone

A=\pi r(r+\sqrt{h^{2}+r^{2}  }

Putting the given value we get the result

628=3.14\times r + \sqrt{r^{2} } + r^{2}

As slant height is equal to radius

628= 3.14\times r+ \sqrt{2r^{2} }

628=3.14\times r+2r\\628=3.14 \times 3r\\3r=\frac{628}{3.14} \\3r=200\\\\r=\frac{200}{3}

convert to the lowest term we get the value of r

r= 66.66cm

So radius of base of cone is= 66.66cm

PROVIDED INFORMATION :-

the total surface area of a cone is is 628 CM squared and its slant height is equal to its radius.

QUESTION :-

the total surface area of a cone is is 628 CM squared and its slant height is equal to its radius. find the the radius of the base of the cone

TO FIND :-

find the the radius of the base of the cone = ?

SOLUTION :-

Curved surface area of cone is given by

C = πrl, where

r = radius of base &

L = r - slant height

Curved surface area = 628 = 22/7 × r × r

r = 628 / ( 2 × 3.14)

then, we get 6.28 then, we will divide

with 628 with 6.28 we get :-

628/6 .28 = 100

then, we will multiply 100 with 2 we get :-

2 × 100 = 200

so, we will divide 200 with 3 we get :-

200/3 = 66.66cm

radius of the base of the cone

= 66.66cm
