Answer:

3

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of cuboid = 2 (lb + bh + lh) =112

2[(10 x 2) + (2 x h) + (10 x h)] = 112

2(20 + 2h + 10h) = 112

2(20 + 12h) = 112

40 + 24h = 112

24h = 112 - 40

24h = 72

h = 3

Height = h = x = 3cm

Width = b, length = l

Given - Total Surface area, length and width

Find - Height

Solution - The total surface area of cuboid is given by the formula - 2 (length*breadth + breadth*height + height*length)

Keep the values in formula to find the value of x.

112 = 2(10*2 + 2*x + x*10)

Performing multiplication of values inside bracket on Right Hand Side

112 = 2 (20 + 2x + 10x)

Performing addition of values inside bracket on Right Hand Side and shifting 2 to Left Hand Side

112/2 = 20 + 12x

56 = 20 + 12x

Shifting 20 to Left Hand Side

56 - 20 = 12x

Performing subtraction

36 = 12x

Performing division and finding the value of x

x = 36/12

x = 3

Hence, the height of cuboid is 3 cm.
