TSA = 2πr 2+2πrh

- =231 cm2

CSA=2/3 of TSA = 2/3x23l=154

2πrh=154cm

2πr 2 =231-154=77cm

2πr 2=77

r2=77x7 / 2x22=12.25

r = v12.25 = 3.5cm

2πrh=154

h =154 /2πr=154x7 / 2x22x3.5=7cm

VOLUME OF CYLINDER:

πr 2h

22 / 7x3.5^2 x 7=269.5cm3. Ans

Answer:

269.5 cm^3

Step-by-step explanation:

TSA = 231 cm^2.

=> 2πr(r+h) = 231

=> 2πr² + 2πrh = 231

CSA = (2/3) * TSA

2πrh = (2/3) * 231

2πrh = 154

Place (2) in (1).

2πr² + 154 = 231

=> 2πr² = 77

=> r = 3.5 cm

Place r = 3.5 in (2).

=> 2πrh = 154

=> 2 * 22/7 * 3.5 * h = 154

=> 22 * h = 154

=> h = 7 cm

Volume = πr²h

=> 22/7 * 3.5 * 3.5 * 7

=> 269.5 cm^3
