The total value of 12 plates and 18 teaspoons is ₹ 348, then what is the value of 4 plates and 6 teaspoons?

Let plates be x and teaspoons be y.

Given,

12x + 18y = 348

2x + 3y = 58

2x = 58 - 3y

x = 58 - 3y/2  --- (1)

Now,

Given 4x + 6y = 4(58 - 3y/(2)) + 6y

                         = 2(58 - 3y) + 6y

                         = 116 - 6y + 6y

                         = 116.


Therefore it is 116.
