The total weight of four boxes is 113kg. the weight of box P is 3.5 kg more than Box Q and the weight of Box R is 3.5 kg less than that of Box Q. The weight of box S is twice the weight of Box R. Find the the weight of each box.​

Answer:

LET THE WEIGHT OF BOX Q BE x kg

weight of box P= (x+3.5) kg

weight of box R= (x-3.5) kg

weight of box S= 2(x-3.5)=(2x-7) kg

ATQ,

x+x+3.5+x-3.5+2x-7=113 kg

5x=113-7=120

x=120/5

x=24 kg= weight of box Q

weight of box P= 24+3.5=27.5 kg

weight of box R=20.5 kg

Weight of box S=41 kg
