The traffic lights of three different road crossings change after every 72, 96, 120 seconds respectively. If they change simultaneously at 6:00 am, at what time will they change simultaneously again ?

1. Time when they last change simultaneously= 6:00 am
2. duration of traffic lights they change simultaneously= 72 , 96 and 120 respectively .
3. So , Time when they change simultaneously after 6 am = L.C.M of 72 , 96 , 120 = 1440.
4. standard unit of time/duration = seconds .
5. It is very difficult to add 1440 seconds to 6:00 am . So we will convert it into minutes .
6. 60 seconds = 1 minute
7. So , 1440÷60 = 24 minutes
8. 6 am + 24 mins = 6:24 am

ANSWER : at 6:24 am , the traffic lights will change simultaneously again .
