Answer:It has been observed that lately the traffic situation in our town has been getting worse by the day. Our town is bordered by farms and we can frequently see the bullock carts and hand-pulled rickshaws moving around frequently. With the increasing urbanisation, we see the number of motor vehicles increasing day by day. The speed of these modes of transportation does not match. The faster vehicles don’t want to move slowly behind the bullock carts and hence keep honking. This has led to not only to air pollution but has also increased noise pollution. The deteriorating air quality is the cause of the various illnesses seen in the people of the town. The noise further leads to issues of hypertension and tiredness. It would be great if the municipal authorities look into this matter and resolve these issues promptly. The proposal for service roads has been long pending. If the service roads are functional, the slow moving traffic can have separate lanes and the faster motor vehicles can move on with their speed. It would be a win-win situation for all.
