The train a travelled a distance of 120 km in 3 hours whereasanother train B travelled a distance of 180km in 4 hours. Which train travelled faster?

speed =  \frac{distance}{time}  \\ speed \: of \: train \: a =  \frac{120}{3}  = 40km.hr \\ speed \: of \: train \: b = \frac{180}{4}  = 45km.hr \\  \\ therefore \:  \: train \:  \: b \: is \: faster

speed=distance/time
speed=120/3
=40ans
train b travel
distance=180
time=4hr
speed=distance/time
speed=180/4
=4.5ans
