Well , firstly rewrite the Statement:

The train travel distance of 1000km in 15 hours 30 minutes ,what is the average speed of the ttrain?

Here , the given distance (travelled by train ) = 1000 km

The time taken by the train = 15 hours and 30 minutes = 31/2 hours

To Find : Average Speed of the train

Solution :

We know that the average speed = Total Distance Travelled/Total Time Taken

So , Required Average Speed =

= 1000/(31/2) = 2000/31 = 64.51 km/h

Answer: 62.5 km/hr.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Distance(d) = 1000km

Time(t) = 15\frac{1}{2}\;\text{hours}\;+30\;\text{minutes}

Now,

15\frac{1}{2}\;\text{hours}=\frac{30+1}{2}=\frac{31}{2}\;\text{hours}

And,

30\;\text{minutes}=\frac{30}{60}\;\text{hours}=\frac{1}{2}\;\text{hours}

Hence,

Total time in hours = 31/2 + 1/2

                               = 32/2

                               = 16 hr.

We know that,

Av. Speed = Distance/Time take

                  = 1000km/16hr

                  = 500/8 km/hr.

                  = 250/4 km/hr.

                  = 125/2 km/hr.

                  = 62.5 km/hr.
