the train travels a distance of 480km.a unoform speed .if the speed had been 8km/h less then it would have taken 3 hours more to cover the some distance we need to find the speed of the train

Let the speed be (x-8)km/h
T1=480 upon x
T2=480 upon (x-8)
now
(480 upon x ) +3=480 upon x-8
by solving we get
x²-8x-1280
