The acquired traits are the characteristics that a human gains in its life time.
These traits donot affect the germ cells but only the somatic cells.
And these somatic cells donot play any role in reproduction.

Since the germ cells are not affected by the acquired traits, they donot alter the genes transferred to the progeny and hence are not inherited by the progeny.
