_______✴️ANSWER ✴️________

When World War One ended much of the blame was put on Germany. The Treaty of Versaille was drawn up to "punish" Germany for such a costly war. The terms included

The treaty stripped Germany of 25,000 square miles (65,000 km) of territory and 7,000,000 people. It also required Germany to give up the gains made via the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk and grant independence to the protectorates that had been established.

The treaty severely restricted the German armed forces to a minimum of 100,000 men in the armed forces in a maximum of 7 infantry divisions and 3 cavalry.

Germany had to pay 20 million marks($5 billion) for war damages which hurt the economy.

Germany had felt betrayed, targeted and overall angry with the government at the time. While it is not the sole cause, the treaty played a big role in instigating Nazi aggression before the war. Under Adolf Hitler, Germany started violating the treaty leading to the annexation of Austria,Czechoslovakia and the invasion of Poland which triggered World War Two.
