The seeds of Second World War were sown in the treaty of Versailles. It was because the treaty was forced on Germany after her defeat in the First World war.

Some of its terms were:

Several harsh restrictions were imposed on Germany. he had to pay a huge war indemnity and her mineral rich areas of Saar and Rhineland was occupied by France. All German colonies in Asia and Africa were forcefully captured. their military power was also reduced. All these harsh terms led to the emergence of militant nationalism. There was dissatisfaction in Germany with the terms of the Treaty of Versailles. Germans wanted to avenge the wrongs done to them by the victorious nations by imposing the terms of the Treay of Versailles.

the peace treaty at versailles with the allies was a harsh and humiliating peace.
.Germany lost its overseas colonies a tenth of its population,13%of its territories ,75%of its iron,and25%of its coal to france, poland,Denmark and LITHUNIA.
.The allies powers demilitarised Germany to weaken its power.
.the war guilt clause held Germany responsible for the war and damage the allies countries suffered.
.Germany was force to pay compansation amounting to $6billion.
.the allied armies also occupied the resource rich Rhineland for much of the 1920s.
