Triangles

First triangle.

  • The sides of ΔCRE are 18, 12 and 10.
  • Ratio of sides = 18 : 12 : 10 = 9 : 6 : 5.

Second triangle.

  • The sides of ΔBHP are 12, 8 and 5.
  • Ratio of sides = 12 : 8 : 5.

Note:

  • From the ratios of sides, we can conclude that the given two triangles can not be similar triangles.

  • We could have concluded them to be similar if the ratio of their sides be the same.
