The troops (soldiers) required to be dropped by paratroopers from an aircraft are called paratroopers. why do paratroopers roll on landing?? please explain! and answers me fast.....

If paratroopers do not roll on landing, there will be a huge change in momentum f their body in a very short time. As a result of this a very high force will act on their leg resulting in breaking of legs and other severe injuries. They roll in order to reduce the impact on their legs.
