The truck is moving at a velocity of 60m/s. When brakes are applied, it slows down to 54km/h in 0.25 minutes

a) what is the rate of accelerationof the truck?
b) how far it has traveled during that time?

Answer:

Hey buddy....

Here's the answer.

Given: velocities,

V1 = 60m/s

V2=54km/h = 15m/s

time taken 't' = 0.25 min = 15 sec

Now,

a)Rate of Acceleration (a) = V2–V1/ t

= 15-60/15

= -3 m/s²

b) distance (d) = ?

Distance 'd' = (V1+V2)* t

= (60+15)*15

= 1125 m.
