The Turks were able to defeat the Indian warriors in battle because:

1. There was no unity among the rulers.

2. Turks used advanced weapons whereas Indians were still using their traditional weapons.

3. Turkish archers used to shoot arrows from their horses which were no match for the Rajput soldiers fighting just with their swords.

4. Lack of military leadership in Indians.

5. There was no powerful central authority in India that could have offered strong resistance to the invaders. India at that time was divided into a number of independent Rajput states.

6. Indian rulers were always fighting among themselves. Also, Indian rulers didn't make a joint stand against Turks.
