The two branches of Metaphysics from the above options are: option a. Ontology and cosmology

Ontology: The study includes nature of how we are, developing, existence, or reality. Simply we can define ontology as a study of what there is.

It includes two subtypes:

  1. Mereotopology – it includes the study of the relations among wholes, parts, parts of parts, and the boundaries between parts.
  2. Meta-ontology – it deals with what we are asking when we ask what there is.

Cosmology: it includes the studies of the fundamental structure, nature, and dynamics of the universe.

It has subtypes which also has some branches:

  1. Physical cosmology: It deals with the study of fundamentals and nature about the formation, evolution, and ultimate fate of universe.
  2. Esoteric cosmology: It is a type of cosmology that includes philosophies having an occult system of thought, based on esoteric knowledge, dealing with themes like: involution, evolution, epigenesis, planes of existence, etc
  3. Religious cosmology: It deals with the concepts and beliefs based on the historical, mythological, religious, and esoteric literature and traditions of different religions.
