P1V1 + P2V2 = P(V1 + V2)
5*9 + 20*6 = P(25)
45 + 120 = 25P
165÷25= P
P = 6.6 atm

Answer : The final pressure in two bulbs is, 6.6 atm

Solution :

Formula used :

P_1V_1+P_2V_2=P(V_1+V_2)

where,

P_1 = pressure in 1st bulb = 9 atm

P_2 = pressure in 2nd bulb = 6 atm

V_1 = volume in 1st bulb = 5 L

V_2 = volume in 2nd bulb = 20 L

P = total pressure after connecting the bulbs

Now put all the given values in the above formula, we get the final pressure in the two bulbs.

(9atm)\times (5L)+(6atm)\times (20L)=P\times (5+20)L

P=6.6atm

Therefore, the final pressure in two bulbs is, 6.6 atm
