Hey

Here is your answer,

Let the two consecutive even numbers are x and x+2.

Given that ,

Sum of their squares is 340.

(x)^2 + (x+2)^2 = 340
X^2 + x^2 + 4 + 4x = 340
2x^2 + 4x = 336
2x^2 + 4x - 336 =0

Divide the equation by 2,

X^2 + 2x - 166 =0
X^2 + 14x - 12x - 166=0
X(x+14) - 12(x +14)=0
(x + 14)(x - 12) = 0
x = -14 or 12

The numbers are 12 and 14.

Hope it helps you!
