Answer:

  • Two equal sides are 20cm
  • The third side is 10cm

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the Question

It is given that ,

  • two equal sides of an isosceles triangle is twice the third side.
  • Perimeter of the triangle is 50cm

Let the third side be x cm

so, the other two sides are 2x respectively .

As we know that perimeter of any polygon is calculated by the sum of its side .

Perimeter of isosceles triangle = Sum of its side.

Substitute the value we get

➻ 50 = 2x + 2x + x

➻ 50 = 5x

➻ 50/5 = x

➻ x = 50/5

➻ x = 10

So,

  • Two equal sides of isosceles triangle are 20 cm
  • and the third side is 10cm.

GIVEN:-

  • The two equal sides of an isosceles triangle is twice the third side
  • If the perimeter of the triangle is 50 cm

EXPLANATION:-

Let the third be cm

So the other 2 sides will be=2x cm respectively .

We know that the perimeter of the triangle would be =sum of all sides.

Perimeter=Sum of the sides

A.T.Q,

→50=2x+x+x

→50=5x

→x=50/5

→x=10 cm

So the two equal sides of the triangle =2x=10×2=20 cm respectively

And the third side=x =10 cm
