3x^{2}  - 6x - x - 20 \\ 3x^{2}  - 7x - 20 = 0 \\ 3x^{2}  - 12x + 5x \: - 20 = 0 \\ 3x \: (x - 4) \: 5(x - 4) \\ (3x + 5)(x - 4)  = 0\\ x - 4 = 0 \\ x = 4 \\ 3x + 5 = 0 \\ x =  - 5/3

Answer: 3x²-6x=x+20

3x²-6x -x -20 =0

3x²-7x -20 =0

3x²-12x +5x -20 =0

3x(x-4) +5(x -4) =0

(3x+5) (x-4) =0

the two factors are:-

x = (-5/3) and x =4

Hope it helps!
